The Nevada Gaming Commission has moved to ban Michael McNeive from all casinos in the state after he was convicted of cheating slot machines in a number of casinos. While this is not the first time that the Nevada Gaming Commission has looked to “blacklist” an individual from all casinos in the state, McNeive is joining an infamous list of those who have attracted the wrath of the Commission.

The “black book” which notes all individuals who have been banned from casinos throughout the state, was created to alleviate the pressure of organised crime across the casino industry which has been rife in recent years. The only way that any individual can escape after being added to the “black book” is by death!

While the Nevada Gaming Commission is well known as being particularly active on the “black book” front it is not the only state to have such a system. Prior to the ongoing economic recession we saw a significant increase in prize money across the US casino sector which attracted the attention of a whole host of organised crime syndicates. An array of electronic machinery has been used to try and defraud casinos across America although the vast majority have been discovered by the ever vigilant casino authorities and the police.
