Home Poker Game Robbed for Over $15,000

A home based poker game in Nanuet, New York, was robbed this weekend. Roughly $15,000 in cash was stolen, as well as other items. At approximately 12:30 AM, police traveled to a home on Avalon Gardens Drive after receiving a 911 hang up. police were told that five Hispanic males, each wearing hoods and bandannas, has robbed the nine poker players. July 30 – The largest share of 51.64% of the London Stock Exchange listed merged entity will be owned by Bwin while PartyGaming (operators of sites like Party Poker) will hold 48.36%. TX poker tournament raided by FBI

Late Tuesday night, multiple law enforcement agencies got together to take down an underground poker tournament in Texas. The poker tournament took place in a shopping center in Houston. According to authorities, one of the stores was being used as a front for the poker tournaments. At approximately 10:30 PM, undercover FBI agents and deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office raided the store and made 14 arrests. The Australian government’s Productivity Commission recommendations are unlikely to be well received by the gambling groups Tatts and Tabcorp, which have exclusive retail wagering licences in some Australian states. The Age newspaper reports that the recommendations of the Commission place renewed pressure on the gambling companies, because it urges state governments to scrap their exclusive retail wagering licences and open up betting markets to greater competition.
